join us for a discussion of Nikos Kazantzakis' classic novel. Copies of the book will be available at the Public Services desk one month in advance. Limited to 15 participants.

Nikos Kazantzakis's Zorba the Greek written in 1946, translated in 36 languages and adapted for the big screen in 1964 staring Anthony Queen, tells the story of a young intellectual who ventures to escape his bookish life with the help of the boisterous and mysterious Alexi Zorba. The novel has been considered a classic with its many philosophical questions about the meaning of life, the colorful and memorable character of Alexi Zorba, and its life affirming message.
