Garrettsville Book Club

Tuesday, August 21 - 5:00 PM

The Book Discussion Club of the Garrettsville branch of the Portage County District Library will meet on Tuesday August 21, 2018, in the library meeting room from 5-6 p.m.
The month’s selection is:

The Nightingale: A Novel
By Kristin Hannah

In 1939 Vianne Mauriac is a young wife and mother; her sister Isabelle Rossignol is an impassioned eighteen-year-old. The lives of the two sisters are forever changed as they adapt to ever-present danger when the fictional town of Carriveau, in the Loire Valley of France, is invaded by the Nazis.
Hannah’s inspiration for this book was a Belgian woman, Andree de Jongh, a member of the Resistance in German-occupied Europe.

Patrons may sign up for the Book Discussion Club at the Reference desk, where copies of the book are available.

The Library, located at 10482 South Street, Garrettsville, OH 44231 is open Monday through Wednesday, 10:00am – 8:00pm; Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00 – 5:00, and closed Thursdays and Sundays.
