Community Interfaith Good Friday Service

Christ Episcopal Church of Kent, Trinity Lutheran Church, 1^st Christian Church of Kent and the Kent United Church of Christ will offer an interfaith service on Good Friday entitled “Tenebrae: Service of Shadows”. This deeply moving candlelight service will explore the tragedy and hope offered by the death of Jesus Christ. The Revs. Julie Cory, Amy Gopp and Douglas Fidler will offer brief homilies alternating with scripture readings and music from the church’s choirs, led by Christ Episcopal Church Music Director Edward Grimes. The Rev. Julie Fisher will officiate. A freewill offering will be taken up for Kent Social Services. The public is cordially invited to attend.The service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 118 South Mantua Street (Route 43) in Kent. Parking is available on site, or one half block north at 1^st Christian Church at 335 West Main Street.
