Blessing of Bikes at St. Joe's Ox Roast

This event at St. Joseph's Ox Roast Fair will be on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. in front of the church where the motorcycle parking is located. Performed by a priest or deacon, the Blessing of the Bikes provides an opportunity for all motorcycle riders to have their bikes blessed for a safe riding season. Deacon Gerry Scopilliti will lead the short service include prayers and reading of biblical passages, and motorcycles are sprinkled with holy water (participants may also receive a pin). This event provides an opportunity for camaraderie and friendship in order to promote a positive image of motorcycling to the community at large.
