Give a Turkey a Break! The Akron Vegetarian Group is inviting the public to join them for a special animal-friendly Thanksgiving Dinner celebration on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at The Vegan Center, 446 E. Exchange Street, 2nd Floor, Akron. Choose from the 1:00 pm lunch or the 5:30 pm dinner. Enjoy an entree of Tofurky Roast complimented with an assortment of delicious vegan foods.
There will be plenty of fun and prizes. Enjoy a special presentation by Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary's Executive Director, Annette Fisher.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling Mindy Tusko at 330-612-5652. Space is limited, so reserve now. A minimum donation of $7.00 per person or $20.00 for a family of 3 is requested. If you like, bring your favorite vegan dish to share. All proceeds from this event benefit Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary.
Happy Trails is a volunteer run, non-profit organization, dedciated to providing farm animal rescue, rehabilitation and adoption services for abused, abandoned and negletcted farm animals. Donations of wish list items will be accepted at the event. If you are unable to attend, but would like to celebrate a compassionate Thanksgiving in spirit, pleas support these efforts by making a special holiday contribution.
