"Thursday Night Gardening Series" Workshops will be offered at The Kent Free Library, 312 W. Main St. Kent, Ohio, and other sites in cooperation with The Ohio State University Master Gardeners of Portage County.
Thursday, September 16th 6:30 PM: Location: Kent Service Garage at the corner of Cherry and Mogadore Streets - Speaker, Jeff Taiclet, Owner-Operator, Taiclet Rain Barrels: Make it and Take it Rain Barrel Workshop: Rain barrels are a practical solution to conserving water and reducing storm water run-off. In this workshop each participant will assemble a 50-gallon rain barrel made from recycled materials. Attendees will also learn how and where to properly install their rain barrel. Jeff will also discuss options to customize your rain barrel to co-ordinate with the color of your home. Class size is limited and will be open to the first 40 registrants only; so register early! Cost: $20.00

Please submit your check in the amount of $20.00 made payable to Portage County SWCD with your registration. There is no fee for the other workshops offered in this series.
