Ravenna Recreation is offering a Shooting Stars Soccer Program for any boy or girl 3 or 4 years of age and a parent/adult can participate. This is a  five (5) week program will combine fun, fitness and the basics of soccer.    With the help of parents and instructors, children are introduced to soccer in a fun to learn setting.  Basic skills of soccer will be taught with non-competitive games played throughout the program.

     The 5 week program will be held on Mondays beginning April 26 to May 24, 2010 from 6 to 6:45 p.m. at the Maplewood Christian Church soccer fields, St. Rt. 88 and Peck Road, Ravenna.   Participants will not be notified before the program begins so please mark your calendars.Ravenna Parks and Recreation will supply each child with a t-shirt.  The player must supply shin 
guards.  Be sure to dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.  Pre-registration in person is a must.  Registration deadline:  April 12 or until filled.  Minimum 10 – Maximum 10.

     Registration fee for city taxpayers (live or work in Ravenna City) is $25.00.  Fee for non-city taxpayers is $30.00.  Checks should be made payable to City of Ravenna.  Please register at the Ravenna Recreation Department office, 530 N. Freedom St., Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 4:15 p.m.  After April 12 a $10 late fee will be applied if openings remain.
