The Ravenna Recreation Department and the Ravenna Rotary Club are sponsoring SAFETY TOWN again this Summer. SAFETY TOWN is a program in which kindergarten children are introduced to safety awareness in their daily lives. We accomplish this by running a one-week long program where your child will learn safety procedures and simulated situations related to safety. The following areas will be covered: traffic, pedestrian, and buckle up safety, as well as water, weather, animal, fire, stranger, drugs & poisons, playground, gun and bicycle safety.
Safety Town will be held at Willyard School, in the mornings, from June 21 to June 25, 2010 Monday through Friday. Each session will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 11:30 a.m. A special graduation ceremony for the children will be held at Willyard at 11:00 a.m. on June 25, 2010. Family and friends are invited.
Enrollment for SAFETY TOWN is limited to 100 children and they will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The cost of Safety Town is $30 for City Taxpayers and $35 for Non-City Taxpayers. A $10.00 late fee will be charged to the registration fee for all sign-ups after June 4, 2010 (if any openings are still available). A refund of 75% of the paid fee will be granted for those refunds requested before June 4, 2010. After June 4, 2010 NO refunds will be granted. A Safety Town T-shirt will be provided for each child on the first day of the program.
If you plan to send your child, please mail or drop off the registration form with your check or money order payable to City of Ravenna:
